We stayed at this resort for 2 weeks and I understand some of the reviews eg the couch being stained, the rooms being dark, the shower over bath being very high and slippery but it depends on the kind of person you are and your expectations. We found the dark room was only dark for some of the day and let's face it your not there to spend all your time in your room. It actually helped keep the room cool and great for sleeping. There are shutters on all the windows that can be opened to let light in and windows can be closed to keep bugs out. Also there is fly screen sliding doors on the French doors to let plenty of fresh air in. There is I non slip mat provided rolled up in the
wardrobe if you require it to help with the bathroom. The gardens around the villas are lovely, the pool is lovely and the fact that it's not a big high rise hotel are all very important to us. The resort offers a free bus to town at 10am and 6pm one way. It costs $4 or $3 usd for a tuk tuk on return. The food at the resort is nice and we enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The staff are amazing extremely helpful and aim to please and most do well with english as it's not their first language. Special shout out to Seun and Kongkear for being amazing staff during our stay. All in all we would stay at the resort again in a heartbeat.
The hotel facilities are beautiful and very clean the food is delicious the pool area is gorgeous and the staff very attentive especially those in the Irish Bar- thank you for a wonderful stay, the location is perfect for the local Pub Street and Night Market only $3 each way for a ‘tut tut’ ride
