Hotel Reviews
“Great Hotel. from KARL TURNBULL Melbourne Aust”
This hotel was the best place to stay in Siem Reap and the entire staff can not.
do enough for you.The room was terrific, the bed was the biggest we have ever slept in and
the breakfast room and food was great and plentiful.
The staff organised for us to visit all the temples and the guide Chou Vichet was the best and
Mr Vannak the Tuk Tuk driver together, could not have been more helpful or informative.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone looking for service with a smile and the old common
friendly greeting. I am not a swimmer but my wife went for a swim in the salt water pool and she said it was great.
Room Tip: Don't go past the SOKHA ANGKOR
RESORT room 304 is a good one
Amazing place to visit
health. Angkor Thom, requires ladies to wear clothing below knees if going up top temple. Good location to visit night market, long walk but can get a short ride from tuk tuk and they are everywhere. The airport is approx 7 kilometers form our hotel, plenty of taxi and ride from there. The hotel has beautiful pool, great selection of beffet and terrific service. The gym needs update few pieces of equipment but adequate for short stay. We felt safe the entire time while we were there with our driver and tour guide. We met honest and many friendly Cambodains, great people. There are thousand of thousand of tourists from around the world so you would definitely will not be alone. Hotels are everywhere. Bring lots of US $ and small bills, that is preferral currentcy. For us, it was an unforgettable once in a life time to see this amazing ancient city and see the history. It met our expectation and more. Oh, and don't forget to see dinner/ shows, we saw few and loved it.
"Very good 4-5 star hotel in Siem Reap"
Sokha Angkor Hotel is located c. 5 km from the airport and almost walking distance to the center. With $ 2 you can take a tuk-tuk (act not forget). The hotel is very well appointed, the rooms are spacious with everything that has to have a very good hotel. The service is very friendly and always helpful, even the book of flights and other hotels. Take care of when breakfast at the time, because from 7:00 am and 8:30 clock clock come up with the Chinese and South Korean tour groups and the operation is simply overwhelmed. Recommendation: Do possible from 9:00 clock or clock before 7:00 for breakfast and sightseeing evntuell later start, this is all re-covered mountains and the remains are removed. he has very good small bar
food and drinks at moderate prices.
“Improvement for the breakfast buffet”
The hotel is actually very nice, near the airport, near Angkor Wat, near Pub St., and the market, it s actually walking distance but because of the heat, it is better to take the tuktuks or a van. The beds are comfortable, the view is good, service is 5 star quality, but some complaints such as the rooms have mosquitoes-must be the heat. And an advice to the FnB dept., especially for the breakfast buffet at the coffee shop. The choices are ok, the spread is quite impressive but they could surely use and improvement on their juice dept., I have heard of really fresh orange or pineapple or whatever for 5 star hotels, I have heard of hotels using concentrate juices that are taken from those rectangular containers, but I think
Sokha Angkor could do better than using powdered juices for their fruit juices selection. If I may say, the fuirt juice selection is terrible. Aside from this, everything about the hotel is very good.
“A great hotel near a great location”
We stayed at the Sokha Angkor for 2 nights. The staff was very polite and helpful. The swimming pool is great. The air conditioning in the room worked very well. Everything in Siem Reap is within walking distance, or you can take a Tuktuk for $2. The hotel has a couple of restaurants but the service is a bit slow.
A great hotel to stay at and nothing to complain about.
