We stayed here for 4 nights recently. It is very grand and staff are all very polite and attentive. We only really ate the breakfasts, as preferred to go into town each evening for food.
The breakfasts were good, as someone else has already said though, no fresh juices, which I found a disappointment and no cheeses to go with the bread.
Pool view room was large, very clean and had balcony. Good choice of movies,on TV, as we like to watch one when we get back from our trips.
We had afternoon tea in the hotel cafe, which was vey nice and lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes (very British!)
Very long walk from the lift to our room on the second floor, so you may

Beautiful five star hotel great service friendly staff Good breaky. Big beds big rooms very spacious and very clean really enjoyed our three nights here Pool was a pleasant relief after trekking the temples.
“Exceeded our expectations for a deluxe hotel in Siem Reap”
The beautiful grounds and a gracious staff complements the large colonial style ambiance of the rooms. We were surprised at the quality of the food at its upscale French/Cambodian restaurant, Le Chanthou, and how reasonable it was. We were very pleased with our overall

Sokha Angkor Resort
We stayed here a few weeks back in March 2014. Its only May and our children keep asking when we can go back! When you first arrive there is a big circular driveway. There the staff greeted us and walked my family to the lobby, where the doorman opened the door. I mentioned this as this doorman never failed to open the door, not once, during the week we spent there. It was this type of consistency that was shown throughout the entire staff at the resort. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms were spacious, the spa was wonderful and the salt water pool was large and absolutely perfect....especially with the giant waterfalls. We booked 2 club suites on the 4th floor overlooking the pool. Each room had
xlarge king beds, lots of space, patio and were incredibly clean. The restaurants and pool side service never failed us....delicious food. They have a fantastic breakfast everyday and everything you can imagine to start you off on your day.
Of course we were there to see the temples....and each night before we would book a van to take us there. Their car service would take us early in the morning to all the right places, avoided the big crowds and picked us up on the other end of whatever temple grounds we were visiting. The vehicles are all new and very clean. The drivers would sometimes give us a cold wet towel at the end of our adventure and always had ample supply of ice water for us. They would whisk us back to the hotel pool to cool down/relax and in the afternoon and were there for us again in the late afternoon to get in some more temple time. (Book the vehicle for the entire day – very worth the money spent)
This resort is also perfectly situated from downtown Angkor Wat/Pub Street as it only cost about 1$ to take a tuk tuk (of course we gave more as it did not feel right)....the perfect distance....and shops all along the route.
We hope to head back again this summer as the Angkor Wat temple land and it’s cultural history was a bit larger and richer than I ever imagined it to be.
The only downside was that we had to leave.
“Saltwater pool is love!”
The hotel is so grand. But the warmth of the staff was the highlight of our stay. They attended to our every request and went out of their way just to help us. Like when the air conditioning unit in our room didn't seem to work, the maintenance guy quickly went up to our room and fixed it. There's also...
