The hotel is well situated in town and only 15 min walk or so along a safe and well lit main street to the night markets and pub street, but away enough for a bit more quiet stay. The salt water swimming pool is very nice, but gets a bit warm for swimming laps later in the day. Get the swim in first thing! They have a small gym with average equipment for a hotel – nothing to get excited over but you can get a workout in. The buffet at breakfast is decent western and local fare, but a surprisingly small fruit selection for this area. The staff is helpful and the room spacious and clean. Good hot water and bottled water replaced daily. A decent selection of tv channels. Huge bed in the room and linens and pillows are okay.
On the downside, the aircon didn’t work so well…struggled to maintain 25 or so…and the internet is SLOW. If you have a vpn….be warned you will have difficulty getting and keeping connection. Overall, a safe, clean, and secure hotel. I also put on event there and the meeting rooms and service was quite good.
this hotel is gorgeous the pool itself is also beautiful. breakfast was very good as well. our room was okay, could have been better like how pretty the hotel is. wifi is okay. i also enjoyed their spa, where i got a massage and foot massage.

On a recent tour to Angkor Wat, we stayed at the Sokha Angkor Resort. It is a beautiful hotel and offered more than we expected.
We had a pool-view room with private balcony, enormous bathroom with separate tub and shower, and a larger than king-size bed. The room was, also, equipped with an electric water pot and coffee/tea.
We had our meals in the hotel's Lotus Restaurant and everything was wonderful. On our last night there, our group was treated to an outdoor dinner around the pool area with local dancers providing entertainment.

We stayed here for 4 nights (with husband, 22yr old daughter & 12 yr old son) we had adjoining rooms which faced west. Upon arrival staff friendly & helpful but rooms felt like a sauna as late afternoon. We left our air conditioning on 24 hours & also needed to close blinds by midday to keep afternoon sun out. Pool great and well used. Ate at hotel and meals adequate even for fussy 12 yrs old. Beds and pillows not very comfortable and no one had a great nights sleep for duration of stay. Wi fi not great.
Room Tip: I would select a room facing into the pool and garden area.

We love this hotel - I think it’s our 7 or 8th time. The rooms are spacious, the bed is extra large, the pool is the best at any hotel we’ve stayed at. Breakfast is a wonderful selection with chefs standing by to prepare eggs, soup etc.... See More
