I was in Cambodia with a group of travel agents. We actually did several hotel inspections as part of our trip. We stayed at the Sokha Angkor Resort, and it was the best one of all! The waterfall into the lovely pool in the middle courtyard is amazing. Can be seen from most of the rooms as well. It was wonderfully COOL thanks to all pervasive air conditioning. The heat is one of the hard parts of a trip to this part of the world, so to have A/C everywhere is a blessing. Not many hotels do that! The floors in the main lobby and throughout are stunning. Fair amount of choice in the buffet breakfast with Asian and Western combinations. Lemongrass scent throughout as well!

Very comfortable environment and room. My wife and I were able to recharge before heading out on our temple visits which can be rather tiring. We are also very pleased with the attention and service standards from the hotel staff. All in all, for the price, one of the better hotels that we have stayed globally.

Sokha Angkor Resort labels itself a five star resort and looks like it at first but that will not be your lasting memory. The organisation of the hotel, the restaurants, the breakfasts do not hold five star standard. Most of the staff do while Internet is at times hardly available in the rooms, you have to sit and work in a bad position in the nice, rather big lobby - noisy at times. The beds do not have proper individual reading lamps and luggage is not kept under lock but spread throughout the lobby for those leaving later the same day.
The location is nice, between town and the temples. The swimming pool area is good thou service is a bit random, again at a four star hotel level. The safe
in the room is too small to hold a laptop for those of us who must be able to keep up with work or wants to work on our pictures from the day.
They change bedlinen and towels despite the provided notes that were put on the right places that we wanted to keep them to save water, washing detergent etc - again this is not what I expect of a five star hotel. You walk the talk.
Air conditioning in the room works well but is on the noisy side.
Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the north side during religious festivals if you are sensible to noise from the nearb...

I took advantage of the end of August. I was in a very nice stay that had been very excited in fact stayed at luxury hotel for the first time in a long time but does not disappoint. Location is good first. Night Market is also close to Angkor also also close. It is a feeling in the heart of the city. The well, I was able to stay in peace to have more staff to be able to use the Japanese language service. It is convenient for shopping is also a supermarket nearby. Stay in luxury hotel after a long time, now every time you very satisfying!
Excellent resort for luxurious rooms and great service.Located in a quiet part but within 1.5 kms of the city, close to shopping and Pub Street.Entrance lobby has great ambiance and spacious in size.
The hotel was really lovely. We were upgraded to a pool view room because the hotel was quiet and the room was fabulous. Pool area is excellent. Food on site was delicious including the breakfast and the Japanese restaurant although our favorite was... See More
