Hotel Reviews
“Wonderful hotel”
Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel with great staff, comfortable room although it was situated furthest from the lift which was quite a walk as it is a very large hotel.
Food in restaurants was very good with a reasonable choice, buffet breakfast was extensive and catered for all tastes.
Concierge was very helpful with making various arrangements for us and in general, the staff were always happy to help. Our only gripe was this is another hotel that allows selfish guests to "claim" pool seating by placing their towels on the seats and then disappearing for hours.
Would definitely stay again.
“This is stunning.”
The circular driveway was beautiful and sparkly at night, lovely during the day with the foliage and water features..Then a charming young man to open the door for you each time you came in and out. The entry foyer was gorgeous and generous in size with a lovely little sitting area and pattisserie. And also a charming shop with wonderful goodies to buy.
We had a buffet which was great and hit the spot. At night , they closed the restaurant and set up tables and chairs around the pool area and we had the most amazing meal out there in the warm air and wonderful ambience abound.
Our room was right next to the cascading fountain that goes into the pool. What a view. The room was everything you would expect of this
standard hotel..Huge bed! lovely silk gown etc etc
Short walk to the shops..A great place ...try it
“WOW!”
Stayed here in April.
This is a stunning property. Your jaw drops once the door is opened for you by the bell boy. The lobby is 2 or three stories of marble pillars and palm trees. Stunning!
The rooms are quite large. The floor of the room i stayed in was hardwood. I had never seen that before. The bed was HUUUGE. I think it was even bigger than a California King. It was comfortable as well. The room contained a sitting area that could stand in for a dance floor. The bathroom was quite large as well with a stand alone shower and a stand alone tub. The tub was quite large and it was perfectly designed to recline in and soak.
The pool area of this hotel is just stunning. Looks like something out
of an Indiana jones theme park but with class.
The breakfast buffet was quite good. It was included with my room. The baguettes were fantastic. For me that was the highlight of the buffet. The baguettes were just perfect. There was quite a variety of western, Chinese and Japanese choices. With at least 4-5 stations where the chefs could prepare custom orders.
The staff in this hotel were exceptionally warm and quite good looking. I guess that must be a criteria. Many spoke english. I also heard many speak Japanese and other foreign languages to the guests. So the hotel has servers to attend to guests in their own languages. That was quite interesting.
The hotel is perfectly located. It is just a 10 minute ride to Angkor Wat. I even jogged to the Angkor complex one day. Everything is within short walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel is walled with security constantly patrolling. As such, I felt quite safe. Contrary to what I read on advisory sites I felt quite safe walking around Siem Reap during the day and along the main drag at night. If anything I was more wary of drunk tourists.
Let me tell you something, this town is super inexpensive. I was stunned by how far my dollar went.
The food is so cheap and tasty. Even in the hotel you can have a full room service meal for under $10.00 US. Notice I said US dollars? It's a little crazy here currency wise as people seem to only accept US dollars. You have to fight to give them local currency. So just bring lots of one and five dollar bills with you.
At the airport you have to pay for the visa with US dollars. They have a bank machine there for you to withdraw it if you do not have currency on you. To take a taxi from the airport you will have to use US dollars. I fought them on this one and was able to use local currency. It cost 28,000.00 of the Cambodian currency. I think the US rate was $7.00. I think the rate was $1 USD = 4,000 Cambodian currency.
The trip from the airport is about 15 minutes.
You must use the spa here. It is so inexpensive compared to Canada. One day I had a 90 minute massage, a 60 minute body scrub, a facial, manicure, and pedicure and foot massage. I think it cost me less than $80 dollars. I am told that it is significantly cheaper outside. But of course you may get happy ending requests.
I found this property clean, safe and first rate. I highly recommend it and will certainly stay here again if I visit Siem Reap.
"Sensational. Tempting denāo go."
From arrival to exit, impecáveias. Excellent, professional, all speak reasonable English, excellent room and pool. Services and luxury rides nicely detailed and well made. Highly recommend and will return for sure! Ah, yes: clean restaurants. And the city with temples is amazing.
