We stayed only two nights to see Angkor Wat on our way home from Vietnam. We found the hotel to be in a great location with very friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere in the hotel played tribute to Cambodia's culture and was very soothing. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel without reservation - except the beds were rather hard (something we did get almost used to in Vietnam).

This is a very imposing hotel with a grand reception and stunning pool. The rooms are large and clean but appear slightly dates with a refresh definitely required in the bathrooms where the shower head was cracked and some of the smaller tiles were missing- but it did still appear clean.

The concierge was very attentive and helpful but we had a bit of a language barrier when we tried to ask for anything out of the ordinary.

We ate in the bar restaurant which was comfortable and the staff were friendly but despite being quiet the service was a little bit slow- but as I said very friendly so it didn't matter. The bar prices were reasonable.

The pool was great and clean with great

We stayed at the Sokha Angkor over New Year and it was a very nice hotel. We had pre-arranged a car transfer from the airport ($15) and we were relieved to see our driver waiting for us despite us having a long wait at the airport after disembarking from the plane (tip: you need a visa for Cambodia which costs $30 and an extra $2 if like us you didn't bring a passport photo. If you don't mind spending a little extra ($37) then I would recommend prepaying for the visa online to save you the queuing and the hassle at the airport).

When we arrived at the hotel we were given a welcome drink and a cold flannel and then were shown up to our room by a reception staff member. The room was fantastic - it had the biggest bed

This is what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The spa is great. The hotel seems a little old and you find little things along the way that don't work. But over all they make a good effort in making your stay feel luxurious and comfy.

The Massage by Rany in the Jasmin Spa was incredible! The best. Hotel had all amenities, comfortable large rooms with balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard. The breakfast included was wonderful. Hotel staff was very accommodating.
