Hotel Reviews
Clean with good service.
This location was clean and had good service from the staff. The only issue we had was that the pool closed every day at 5:00 PM for a private party. Unfortunately this happened every night we were here so we did not get a chance to enjoy the pool.
Overall a good place but you can't count on having access to the pool.
Sokha Angkor Resort - Outstanding
The hotel lobby, pool, and grounds are beautiful. The employees at Sokha Angkor Resort are friendly, kind, helpful, and very professional. Uniformed doormen greet you as you enter and leave the hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a wide choice of foods and beverages, all included in the room price. The rooms are spacious and very modern and clean. My room was very nice. It faced the beautiful pool and had a nice balcony. One employee in particular, Ms. Savery, was very impressive. She was very helpful with my room reservations, welcoming me to the hotel, and informing me of the amenities available from the hotel. She is very professional, pleasant, and always smiling. She is certainly a very valuable asset to the
staff at Sokha Angkor Resort. I would highly recommend Sokha Angkor to anyone desiring an enjoyable vacation or business trip. It has a great location, walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and a short drip to the temples at Angkor Wat.
Wonderful Resort, Wonderful Service
We stayed at the Sokha resort for one night to see the temples at Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm. The hotel grounds and lobby are beautiful, we arrived to be greeted by uniformed doormen with refreshing juice. The floral arrangements, beautiful carvings, Cambodian musicians in the lobby set the ambience. Our room had a spacious bathroom with a large tub and strong shower. Toiletries and a hair dryer were available as well as lovely robes. The spa massages available were so reasonable! My husband had an hour massage with oils for $28USD. he said it was one of the best massages he's had. There is a modern gym with all the equipment needed. We had a dinner as part of our cruise ship tour featuring local dancers who were
charming and talented. The breakfast buffet was amazing with food to satisfy any tastes from European sliced meats, cheeses, pastries; American eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals; Asian noodles, dumplings; and lovely fresh fruits. I wish we could have stayed longer. The Cambodian people are gracious and kind. I highly recommend Sohka for rest and relaxation while visiting the local temples.
Beautiful Resort
We would dearly love to visit again but need assurance that we would be able to sleep without being disturbed again by noise from the outdoor pool area after the "last to close" restaurant/pub/cafe La Champa, closes at 11pm. We accept that the hotel needs revenue from conferences and tour groups but this should not be at the expense of other guests seeking to peacefully enjoy an otherwise perfect holiday.
