Hotel Reviews
“nice hotel, but rooms need to be more updated”
this hotel is gorgeous the pool itself is also beautiful. breakfast was very good as well. our room was okay, could have been better like how pretty the hotel is. wifi is okay. i also enjoyed their spa, where i got a massage and foot massage.
"The Best”
On a recent tour to Angkor Wat, we stayed at the Sokha Angkor Resort. It is a beautiful hotel and offered more than we expected.
We had a pool-view room with private balcony, enormous bathroom with separate tub and shower, and a larger than king-size bed. The room was, also, equipped with an electric water pot and coffee/tea.
We had our meals in the hotel's Lotus Restaurant and everything was wonderful. On our last night there, our group was treated to an outdoor dinner around the pool area with local dancers providing entertainment.
“comfortable”
We stayed here for 4 nights (with husband, 22yr old daughter & 12 yr old son) we had adjoining rooms which faced west. Upon arrival staff friendly & helpful but rooms felt like a sauna as late afternoon. We left our air conditioning on 24 hours & also needed to close blinds by midday to keep afternoon sun out. Pool great and well used. Ate at hotel and meals adequate even for fussy 12 yrs old. Beds and pillows not very comfortable and no one had a great nights sleep for duration of stay. Wi fi not great.
Room Tip: I would select a room facing into the pool and garden area.
“Clean & Spacious”
We did a big group check-in for our company team building so it’s a massive check-in.
Basically the rooms are spacious & clean but the room air-cond was not so cool adding to the hottest weather. And the in-room free WiFi is super slow.
Other than that, the staffs are friendly and the breakfast buffet spread was good as well.
The pool is wide & beautiful.
It’s located nearby the local market street for easy shopping.
Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony or pool view
“Lovely stay, but one second hand concern”
We had a lovely five day stay here -- very nice room, used the pool daily, and enjoyed very excellent breakfasts. We would have nothing but positive things to say about our stay except for one second hand event: a couple in our tour group had $600 US ($100 and $50 bills) stolen from their safe. The money was in sealed envelopes, with writing across the sealed portion (something now done because another couple had money stolen from a cruise ship safe), but those two denominations had been brazenly opened, regardless. They did not report it since proving it would be impossible, and didn't tell us until almost two weeks later. It put a big tarnish on an otherwise terrific place. Find a safer place than the "safe"...
