Hotel Reviews
“Ab Fab !”
We adored this hotel! Arriving on a stormy night in July at a far more modern airport than we expected, our night surpassed all expectations when we checked into this sublime hotel.
The service was excellent, the food very good and our room quite luxurious considering we were in Cambodia. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and did not want to leave !
Very spacious room with full sized bathroom. We availed ourselves of a double spa treatment which did not disappoint - extremely relaxing and aromatic massage at a great value price.
“Wonderful airconditioned luxury at Sokha Angkor”
I was in Cambodia with a group of travel agents. We actually did several hotel inspections as part of our trip. We stayed at the Sokha Angkor Resort, and it was the best one of all! The waterfall into the lovely pool in the middle courtyard is amazing. Can be seen from most of the rooms as well. It was wonderfully COOL thanks to all pervasive air conditioning. The heat is one of the hard parts of a trip to this part of the world, so to have A/C everywhere is a blessing. Not many hotels do that! The floors in the main lobby and throughout are stunning. Fair amount of choice in the buffet breakfast with Asian and Western combinations.
Lemongrass scent throughout as well!
“Trip to Ankor and we stay in a wonderful Hotel”
Stayed September 2013, traveled on business
I feel at home
Very comfortable environment and room. My wife and I were able to recharge before heading out on our temple visits which can be rather tiring. We are also very pleased with the attention and service standards from the hotel staff. All in all, for the price, one of the better hotels that we have stayed globally.
“Nice 4 star hotel, not more”
Sokha Angkor Resort labels itself a five star resort and looks like it at first but that will not be your lasting memory. The organisation of the hotel, the restaurants, the breakfasts do not hold five star standard. Most of the staff do while Internet is at times hardly available in the rooms, you have to sit and work in a bad position in the nice, rather big lobby - noisy at times. The beds do not have proper individual reading lamps and luggage is not kept under lock but spread throughout the lobby for those leaving later the same day.
The location is nice, between town and the temples. The swimming pool area is good thou service is a bit random, again at a four star hotel level. The safe
