The hotel was nice and clean. service was excellent. the hotel has a gym, spa, pool, and a lot more to keep you entertained...including free wifi. the included breakfast buffet was excellent, the staff were all helpful and friendly especially the outlet manager - Som Pea who we saw everyday working, he helped give us information on places to go to in siem reap. the hotel is 1km from the old market and tuk-tuk drivers will usually charge 1-2$ to get there.

“beautiful hotel, friendly service”
“Great hotel, thieving staff.”
We stayed at the Sokha Angkor resort last week and it was beautiful and was in a great location. The staff seemed very friendly, however we had several things stolen from our room throughout our stay. Items included 5 pairs of sunglasses and a camera. Luckily we locked up our passports and money in the safe. The sunglasses were not if great value so they were left in our suitcases. On one of the days we forgot to lock up the camera as it was at the bottom of a bag. This was stolen too. To find this staff had to have rifled through my closed suitcase opened a bag which was covered with clothes right at the bottom, opened this and sifted through other items within this bag eg jumpers ect.
Absolutely ruined the trip as the

Our only issue was the room was very hot and I struggled to work the air con controls. Breakfast was a bit of a mess with lots of tour customers all milling around. General concierge and reception desk people were helpful. The location is good and we got a tuktuk just outside to take us to a

From the moment you enter the hotel a welccoming scent of lemongrass and the refreshing airconditioned lobby is exactly what you want to come home to after a day or market shopping or temple climbing or sight seeing. It is not like a 5 star hotels in Bali or Thailand, it's like a 5 star hotel should be. The rooms are beautiful and clean with daily room cleaning and a turn down service. The staff speak good English so it is not difficult to explain an unusual request and everyone is so happy to help. My only regret is that I found the day spa sooner. Receiving a complimentry foot massage on arrival it took be until the last day to use it and then wasn't long before I was back there. The food is good including the buffet
